Yes I have finally got my invitation to beta test Gmail and yes I it works as advertised
I can honestly say I am enjoying it, there is just so much that has been done to improve the way we interact with webmail systems that I will most probably scratch my hotmail account (which I have had for over 6 years) altogether.
A few things that still need to be done that I would like to see:
- Save email drafts (this feature has yet to make an appearance in Gmail)
- Ability to delete attachments from emails
- Allow labels to be made into different colors
Things done well:
- God damn I love Hot Keys, they are not enabled by default (SWITCH IT ON, you have no idea what you are missing!!)
- Viewing emails as conversations (outstanding stuff).
- 1GB of space (you just can not go wrong there).
Yes I am enjoying my Gmail tremendously, it is going to be very exciting when it goes public.
i think gmail is grand as well, but if you’re a livejournal user the comment notification gets a little confusing as gmail tags every comment as being part of one big “lj” conversation!
i enjoy your site muchly, and the funny thing is that i’ve found out that one of my friends is a workmate of yours
horah for brisbane’s 2 degrees of separation!
Hmm odd, I tried out several auto emails on Gmail and I never experienced that problem (I bet you any money they will be fixing that problem considering how many LJ’ers will be registered with Gmail now.)
It’s funny isnt it? I saw a few hits from your site and checked it out, only to find that one of your pals was Craig from work, so I decided to freak him out and let him know hehehe
Glad you enjoy the site, stop by again some time
brisbane is so incestuous
we don’t really help the cause any by being so popular and beautiful and leaving our little hit trails all over the internet!
although i might add, that i think you’ll have to fist fight me for chanel’s love and affection.
